Sports Medicine Coordinator – CaroMont Health Trent has 19 years of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). For the past six years, Hayes has served as Sports Medicine Coordinator for CaroMont Health and as an athletic trainer for Gaston Christian School. Before coming to CaroMont Health, Hayes served as an Athletic Training Supervisor with McDowell Hospital in Marion, NC, where he developed the hospital’s Sports Medicine program and provided athletic training coverage to McDowell High School. Before his work at McDowell Hospital, Hayes was an Athletic Trainer with Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, SC. Hayes provided athletic training coverage to Greenville High School and was a manager in their athletic training network which was comprised of 48 ATCs. His professional career also includes outreach sports medicine programs in North and South Carolina, Professional Bull Riding (PBR) event coverage and collegiate summer baseball league. Additionally, he was chosen as an ATC for the 2009 North/South Boys’ All-Star basketball game in Charleston, SC. Hayes is a graduate of Pfeiffer University with a B.S. in Sports Medicine – concentration in Athletic Training. He is active in professional organizations and believes that educating other medical professionals and community members about athletic training and injuries is important. |
